After years of being disappointed by tiny picnic blankets, the weird texture of the packable blankets or super complicated sun shades, I finally found the PERFECT product. We love everything about this tent: The material keeps itchy grass away from our skin and its the perfect size for myself, my toddler and my baby to sit inside. Folding it up takes a little practice, but it is SO quick once you get the hang of it. The tent is lightweight and portable so we can take it anywhere (even while trying to carry a baby in a car seat), which means we always have protection from the sun.
It’s functional AND fun. The tent springs open so fast that it’s a requirement to yell “SHARK ATTACK” every time.
The tent comes with stakes to attach to the ground, but we don’t use them much. If the wind is blowing at the right angle, it will pick the tent up and carry it pretty far. Ours traveled across our backyard on a windy day and gave our neighbors a laugh when they saw a shark swimming through the neighborhood.
