This tent is perfect for beach days. We even took it on our recent vacation and it was well worth the the luggage space (it fit in our largest checked luggage).
It's very easy to set up, though I did have to refer to the included directions to fold it back up again the first couple times (now it seems easy since I've done it a few times). I really like the sand bags for holding it in place. A very nice feature that my previous tent didn't have. This tent is perfect for me and the kids.
I do have one minor annoyance, one of the window flaps seems like the velcro patches were sown on in slightly the wrong position so it doesn't stay closed very well. I might be able to reposition them myself, but if not, it's not a big issue, just a little inconvenient.
